And the fact the people are paying over $200 plus for some bootleg Jordan's that are mass produces is really idiotic. And it really shows how fukk up the shoe game is. You got manufactured exclusivity and dumb ass people will pay for it like sheep. Even these so called "sneaker heads" that can recite all the different color ways, you really don't know shyt. :mjpls:

Nike knows what they are doing. They know there are people who like the Air Jordan label and it can sell. The entire Jordan line looks like trash to me. I get my Eastbay catalog and they are charging a billion dollars for Jordan socks, Jordan shorts, Jordan sweatshirt, Jordan t-shirt and Jordan XVIIIVXLMNOP shoes. He never wore anything of that while on or off the court. Look what they are charging?!?!?
After Jordan retired, the shoes began to look dated. So, they started to modernize the look but kept the Jordan name. Years go by, they keep on doing the same thing and now, it's like, they are just fashion sneakers. No one really plays ball in them.

On the flipside, I would rather wear Nike Air Jordans than any Li-Ning sneakers. :mjlol:

If we are going to use that logic then you mind as well go the entire way and say there haven't been "real Jordans" since he retried back in 2003. Since Nike also has manufacturing exclusivity to the OG colors too and they can produce those in perpetuity.

My first pair of J's were the III's when I was in elementary school and I've owned multiple OG pairs of everything (except for the 6's and 8's) up to the all black XV's in my freshman year in college.

Since then it's been all retro's and a lot of those have been colorways Jordan never wore. My 2000 Cool Grey XI's being my favorite of those (since Space Jams were technically worn by him).

I gotta ask you a question though. What do you do with Jordans like the AJ III True Blue that Jordan wore in Washington but was never an OG color?

It's one thing to reproduce an original style but to make up a new shoe and charge $300 is :scusthov: they not real Jordan's. It's not a one of a kind original customization neither because they are mass produced. It's artificial value.

Just for the record I had OG white cements and currently i have black cement retro's, true blue's, and fire reds.

The black cement are my favorite sneakers of all time.

Phil Knight out here making a killing, top hedge fund managers have nothing on him.

Reproducing the exact same products from 20 years ago, adding inflation, engineered scarcity and consumers can't get enough:drool:

I buy all of my button up shirts from JCrew and Banana Republic and wear jbrand jeans. Hypebeast? :pachaha:

The fact that I didn't know true blue's were OG should be evidence enough against me being a hype beast. I wore Jordans when I was younger and rock them out of nostalgia. Not because it's what's hot on the streets. A picture of me at basketball camp wearing OG XI black/red back in 96 hangs in my office as proof of that.
