This game was in development almost a year and a half before we knew anything about BF1. Nice try though.
I don't mind WW2 but they should change the theatre to Sino-Japanese war. Imagine being a Chinese soldier being trapped in Nanking and trying to escape the city while Japanese army raping and killing anything in sight. Or being in an outnumbered chinese unit manning a trench line and repelling several waves of banzai charge.

the ground campaign in Desert Storm was only like 100 hours, and it was very one sided
these 'modern warfare' games only really work in a fictional setting, because most actual modern wars aren't very interesting for the 'boots on the ground' perspective. at least as far as making an action filled FPS game
