Subban won a Norris(best defenseman) a gold medal in the 2014 olympics in sochi as a member of team canada and went to the conference finals twice in 5 season, on a Montreal Canadiens team who didnt get out of the second round in 17 years.

Burns could definitely compare as far as impact... Vlasic is a great defensive defenseman.... doesn't impact the game offensively at all.

Vlasic is elite defensively but give me PK any day over him, plays like PK are alot harder to find than Vlasic. Were these Sharks fans on hfboards by any chance? The folks on that board overrate the hell out of defensive defenceman, they love throwing around that "offensive players are defensive liabilities" bullshyt plus they on that .

Vlasic is overrated as a defensive dman....Hes slow as shyt,you see the Oilers series he was out of place a few times and couldnt recover and led to goals....i dont know the numnbers off hand but the eye test i dont like,i just dont like slow ass lumbering defensemen...
I wouldn't call him slow, but he's not the fastest skater. He's a smart defenseman, knows how to position himself well. The Sharks defense as a whole was slow in that series, the only shot they had was to control the offensive zone with puck possession.
