20 years and 17 of the MVPs were in the top 4 in WS.

The only 3 times they weren't were the years Nash and Iverson won the awards.

The stat is more accurate than these feel-good stories the coli likes to perpetrate.

:sas1:
This is some HORRIBLE posing. :mindblown:

Nash won MVP in 2005 because the Suns went from 29-53 to 62-20, below average in offensive efficiency to one of the greatest offensive marks in league history with him being the major addition. That is one of the most dramatic swings in league history.

Nash won MVP in 2006 because Amare went down and missed all but three games but the team still finished with the best offense in the league and #2 seed in the conference

yeah narratives have a lot to do with who wins MVP. Always has and that will never change. Wasn't close to being the best player in the league in either years but he did fulfill some of the common criteria to win the award and its really not remotely surprising that Kobe didn't get it

Nash my favorite whiteboy player in NBA history

He used to drive under the basket
Whole team would follow him to the top of the key
Be like 3 Suns left unchecked in the paint to pass to :mjlol:
