i hear your point but ether wasnt LYRICAL. thats my point. and there was no REAL beef to boot. that made it worse.i agree with most of this but im not downing what cube did in his 20's, as i said he an all time great. however NWA was never a group of dope rappers and lyricists...only Cube and Ren could even write a rap....so in a battle cube was supposed to dismantle them non rapping ass cats and he did. he went at more than 1 guy but who was going to come back and destroy him? dre? eazy-e? naw we both know that wasnt happening...Cube just happened to be a ill ass rapper who broke away from a legendary (but gimmicky) group so he could shine and be taken more seriously and get his money. u putting a whole lot of stock on a way better rapper destroying a bunch of non-lyricists.
thats why Nas in ether really proved something. u can give your opinions on there was only 2 hot lines in the song...thats bs...thats you...but Jay-Z to this day is considered one of if not the goat by many in the hip-hop community and Nas destroyed him in one song and had him crying and babbling on the radio...nothing Jay did could counteract this one song...
your best beefs are not super ultra lyrical beefs. there songs about people that know the other person so well its not even funny. one person pulls all the files up and basically reads them to the public in rap form. thats always been the BEST BEEF records. not a bunch of lyrical stuff. thats cool for a made up battle competition. but not real BEEF records.
