Calling in sick appreciation

I took today off as a holiday and I'm actually sick.
I wanted to do so many things today. It's 4.30pm here and I'm in bed.

The worst is when the job isn't salary based...and around 1 o'clock you're thinking man if I wasn't lazy I would have made some loot today back in my younger days

"sick" today. Didn't realize Ive only used 2/6 sick days this year. Still got another week of vacation time left.

The worst part of calling in sick is when you call in sick on a day everyone else called in sick and they're calling you like where are you.

when we call in they just take 8 sick hours away. you do lose all your overtime for the week typically because sick hours come from a different pool of hours so you didn't work 40 hours that week and the extra time you did work becomes straight pay not time and a half. if you call in with no sick hours you get a coaching and do it again and its a write up. i usually have 2.5 weeks of sick time so its never a problem for me.
