And there in lies the crux of the republican dilemma. Liberals aren't opposed to border security, but we are aware that building a wall isn't going to stop the majority of the problem and will be a money pit.

I imagine, you could deter illegal immigrants by protecting workers rights, holding businesses accountable for hiring illegal immigrants, and removing the incentive for living here illegally more effectively for a fraction of the cost.

But I imagine that's a no go to you because it's not really about protecting American jobs and workers. It about your xenophobia and racism.
