Over the years the terms "Racist" and "Racism" has become too murkey of a term that doesn't address the real issue, Racist white supremacy. White supremacy is a more specific and target-able issue than Racism is. You can't really find a solution to racism, but it is possible to find one to white supremacy.
On a similar note, the terms n***a/er has been a topic of discussion among EVERYONE as well, especially black folks. "Why do black people get to call themselves that"
But here is the reality: black people are desensitized to being called the N word. So much so that we ADOPTED the lexicon and CHOOSE when we want to be offended by being called the N word. Just like someone who is being called a racist decides whether to be offended or not. It's all about context.
But call a black person a c00n for acting like a c00n, or buck dancing, or Bedwinch and notice the response
Calling a black person a c00n, bedwinch, buck dancing, all points a finger directly to a specific type of ignorance that is a hindrance to social advancement. Just like how calling someone a white supremacist directly address the issue of racism.
