Breh, there was over 4 minutes left in the game, it was 3rd down, yal had 3 timeouts and the 2 minute warning...

Yeah the fumble didn't lose the game for your team, but recovering the fumble still gives you a shot at winning the game. Not recovering the fumble basically guarantees that Denver is going to get at least 3 points, and push the game to being a 2 possession game.

I respect the honesty, but that response just confirms that he was shook.

I just have a different look at things since I had scholarship offers magically get rescinded after blowing out my knee playing football...

So anytime a player who feels that their health is more important I'll ride with em all day...
Yeah I can't disagree given that. It's a harsh business.

Made it through the first few pages...i think a lot of people are missing what he said regarding the fumble. He wasn't worried about being hit by the defender or his own man (which a lot of Cam defenders tried to claim), he was worried about fukking up his knee with a 'non contact' injury. I can accept that. Even if you don't think him diving from that position would have fukked up his knee, you have to admit that as soon as the thought enters one's mind, it will cause them to pull up.

I never had a problem with the interview, and don't have a problem with his explanation. Extremely overblown angle imo

That is what I got from it. As soon as he said that, the RG3 fumble came to my mind. :jbhmm:

How can you be in a locker room and see your teammate playing with this and say diving for a fumble wasn't worth risking getting injured?

To me, I think he didn't dive because u could clearly see his center Ryan Kalil make a dive for it before he could react. I think he would've dived for it, but since Kalil was making a play for it, he prolly felt that if he and Kalil were to both go for it, they would've collided and prolly not take control of the ball. Like when two outfielders in baseball trying to catch a pop up.

Seriously, he even said he would've lit Cam up if he dove for it.

Problem is he never thinks twice about injury when they're blowing teams out but he does in a close superbowl game? .that's frontrunner behavior an inexcusable. Nobody saying cam soft they're saying he's a frontrunner

Care to provide a detailed definition of this term "frontrunner" that I keep seeing as well as a reason why a fukk should be given on whether a guy is or isn't one? Thanks.

It's just weird that you'd dive for fumbles in regular season but decide not to in the deciding moment in the SB

I am not gonna argue with a person who's livelihood is their body about their body. If he said his leg felt awkward then what am I supposed to do?

All the press conference complaining is ridiculous. Interview me after I put a whole season of blood sweat and tears into something only to come in 2nd, I'd be fukking pissed man. I wouldn't even want to talk let alone a bunch of reporters looking for a headline asking stupid questions. Cam has an extremely bright future, he's still very young and this is a learning experience.

All you people criticizing cam for not risking injury by diving on the fumble. Ask yourself if RG3 risking injury was worth it when he played on his bad leg in the playoffs?

RG3-Knee-Injury.gif

People, til this day, say that RG3 should have not played so that he could get back to 100%. Truth of the matter is...the game (SuperBowl) was lost, regardless if he dove for the fumble...even if he recovered the fumble. That O-line wasn't holding up long enough for anything to happen.

It was a wrap. Im glad he didn't risk injury for a game that they weren't gonna win without a series of miracles. :salute:
it's the super bowl. go out like elway. let's be real the worst that could have happened on that play was a separated shoulder/broken collarbone (he'd be fully healthy by training camp).

Frontrunner - type of dude that talks mad shyt when he winning in 2k...but the moment he bout to take a L he cut the system off. That type of behavior was never well recieved when I was growing up and we all knew one.
