my opinion on cam is he is one of the greatest fall offs ever.

the potential he had was BIG/Jayz status.

anyways I think cams most universally loved album and overall acceptable classic record is the unreleased SDE, it is what Nas original I AM was to his career.

It wasnt his fault though...

Jay-z blackballing him took the energy outta him imo...

On Fire Tonight is hilarious, soulful and catchy all at the same time
Stop Calling is FIRE, one of the most disrespectful songs I ever heard
I Just Wanna.. the way they flipped that D'Angelo sample and Cam/Juelz chemistry was at an all time high.. shyt is amazing
Dead or Alive is another fire song.. "The way I been treated in this industry, not nicely.. little fakkit motherfukker like Mike Lighty"

CHWM, is nowhere near a classic.
I rate that album with jay's vol II, at a good 3.25 mics.
The three mics, and a quarter is more about impact than actual quality of work.
It is more a piece that is a gateway example.
That shows the type of middle of the road quality sales spike era release.
that would have done numbers in that era, as a work for sale.

It is no way anywhere close to a classic.

Superior work doesn't make something classic. Impact and how long it stands the test of time makes it classic. Standing the test of time is the most important part to a classic.

And I can find reviews of that for Purple Haze saying it's one of the years best. shyt Rhapsody called it top 10 albums of the decade.

Superior work makes a classic.
As there are classics, that provided no real cultural/social dynamic or change.
Nor, were they some definitive culturally advancing changing submission, either.
Records like heist of the century, royal flush's first record, the first brand nubian and even you could say done by the forces of nature, and many more.
I also,...disagree in the fact I can hear an album the first time and rate it a classic.
typically, do I think other listeners are well versed,..NO.

Lately he fell off
Ghetto Heaven is trash
BOAB series was good but Vado carried them joints
Crime Pays (his last album) was the worst album he ever made

During his run from CHWM to Killa Season idk who was better than him... he was top 2 with Jay at that point I think
