If a rapper isn't lyrical what good is he? There's a lot of different ways to be lyrical - but a rapper should be spitting.
you don't have to be lyrical to get your point across. Jeezy isn't lyrical but he still has 3 classics

Few more bad lines, but also some good ones
I got a girl, we all call her Liquor
Cause she drink liquor, let another girl lick her

My girl don't need no type of brains
Just go down, give me some type of brains

Both of those are lazy and awful, but these are good
Only way you be arou d paper boy
If you quit your job and go be a paperboy.

And the right of way lines from let me know
Overall SDE has a few classic tracks, let me know, where I'm from Nd losing weight, some awful tracks, Freeks, chickens, where you at

Definitely not a classic, but probably his best album. 4 mics I'd say.

SDE was a classic

Crazy how most Cam fans dont even talk about his best album

CHWM was ok, biggest problem was half of it was spit on other beats in the mixtapes that dropped in the months leading up to it

He was one of my favorite artists when CHWM was dropping too but the album was ok at best

Still tho, Cam>>

I'm sorry, but is easily in my top 10 and possibly in my top five, but he looses points for releasing a few duds (Crime Pays) and not being 100% focused. I feel he never really grew as an artist, and actually regressed a bit when you hear his classic S.D.E. He never really go serious on alot of his music since then. But when it comes to styles, trendsetting, being REAL, and not selling out, he is DEFINITELY a legend in my eyes. Furthermore his contributions to the game have been immense. As an admitted Dipset stan, i'll admit that finicially Dipset never reached mainstream status, but their influence on hiphop is unquestioned.

My list:

Nas
Z-ro
Tupac
Lupe
Cam'ron

Being "real" (which is such an empty term now) and starting trends (wearing pink, saying "no homo" and other ignorant stupid "trends" ) don't really count as accomplishments and those things didn't make him a better artist.
