Beli probably doesn't want to go into the season and lose. Cam gives them the best chance to contend so you take that risk. They have a solid o-line so he won't take the in pocket hits nor be asked to run as much.

Good point about the o-line protection but I think Beli would still be worried about Cam's accuracy throwing the ball especially if his shoulder probably isn't 100% good to go. If Cam didn't have the injuries, I think Beli might be willing to risk it and could get Cam working with someone who could help him improve his mechanics so his accuracy would be better. But with the injuries he has already sustained, I doubt someone like Beli would take a chance on him right now. Another coach will though and hopefully it'll be a good fit for Cam.
