I wouldn’t say he’s done in the league. He can still be a solid backup. “Done” is an exaggeration. There are more than enough garbage QB’a in this league, getting paid handsomely....well, handsomely relative to how they’re playing. I don’t know why Cams status would be any different than those others.

He was desperate to get a job and show teams that he could still play and he ended up picking the wrong one. Not like he had a choice though as teams were hesitant to wait and sign and him.
It’s not like he was an all world throw or even an average one before the injury like Luck was. Dude never learned to impress as a passer and relied mainly on his running ability.

They put too much trust in McDaniels to schematically make it work with very little weapons. Not saying McDaniels is trash. He’s a great coordinator, I just think it’s 50% Cam still overthrowing receivers and 50% NE just not having enough toys on the offense.

He was always an average passer with all world rushing abilities. And that combo was always good enough for the Panthers offense when Cam had a set of weapons. It’s just gotten way tougher.

As the hits have taken a toll on him and he hasn’t improved enough as a passer to make up for it. Lamar Jackson and other running QBs better take note of what’s going on with Cam.

It's clear the injuries have robbed him of his arm strength and scrambling isn't good enough anymore to move the sticks consistently. Cam Newton needs to look at life past football.
