Not that surprising. I thought he didn't know who he was. He clearly knew him, just didn't recognize his face. That's not super crazy. Ain't like his face is all over the place like that and he has been retired for a decade.

The only one that was crazy is Brett Favre. Why are y'all acting like those guys were Superstars with their helmets off?

Megatron was a beast on the field but I guarantee you most people who regularly watch the NFL wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup either. Y'all acting like he was a star on the level of Moss, Rice, Odell, Tyreek, T.O. etc or something.

I feel like this is just the NFL

If they had their jerseys on, he would know right away.

Calvin Johnson wasn’t a media superstar and fukk Brett Favre.

Nah. That podcast had other rookies on who knew Megatron and other noteworthy players. He wasn't a media superstar in the sense of being in commercials but if you watched ball - or even played videogames - you'd know who he was. If you are a baller. A lot of these kids aren't ballers, they just play ball.

Social Media and instant gratification cooked Gen Z's capacity to care about anything beyond right now
I remember growing up I knew who all the stars were even before my time. Megatron retired 9 years ago😂🤣

Y'all do realize that they're also being forced fed WAY more information by the second then any of us had to take in while we were growing up?

You go talk to someone who grew up in a rural area with minimal Internet activity and they'll have the same memory recall as older eras of humans.

And they may just not give a fukk about what they look like :mjlol: it's not a necessary part of the sport

AND as time moves forward, more "history" exists, there's gonna be a point where it's gonna be fukking impossible to expect a young person to retain all this fluff data y'all want them to know, history is a snowball, y'all had it easier back then than they do now

Watch the video, Skattebto did not recognize their faces.

If others know, cool. But Megatron wasn’t on commercials like that back then and Detroit stank.

Clown shyt. These young dudes don't know shyt about anything that pre-dates them smh. It's not even just sports, it's every topic.
Well when you have people trying to erase or rewrite history and pretend that it never happened, you can’t really blame that.

That’s not even accounting for the fact of years worth of data and archives being scrubbed from the internet.

To kinda throw the NBA in the mix. This is what people mean when they say certain players aren’t superstars
