Y'all do realize that they're also being forced fed WAY more information by the second then any of us had to take in while we were growing up?
You go talk to someone who grew up in a rural area with minimal Internet activity and they'll have the same memory recall as older eras of humans.
And they may just not give a fukk about what they look likeit's not a necessary part of the sport
AND as time moves forward, more "history" exists, there's gonna be a point where it's gonna be fukking impossible to expect a young person to retain all this fluff data y'all want them to know, history is a snowball, y'all had it easier back then than they do now

Seriously. Growing and loving and playing sports... I appreciated the history of each individual sport. I WANTED to know who the best was. I enjoyed stories of teams, players, organizations that came from past accomplishments and failures.

That's true but tbh most people should know what Megatron or Brett Favre look like. If you're a slight above casual fan or fantasy football player you'd know them. Plus they both play "vanity" positions.

Not knowing some of the pics are excusable like the younger Favre pic and Cam. But I Megatron inducted in the HoF not too long ago, you'd think he would be paying attention to one of several tributes, highlights, ceremony, etc. that went on over that time.
Off the top of my head I don't know what Megatron looks like. When I see a pic I gothat's him alright.
Yeah, that’s understandable to me. I’m a Lions fans, so I know megatron when I see him. But, most people weren’t watching the lions during that time frame. We just weren’t good and he only played like 8 seasons. Scatterboo was too young.
