Crazy, because I always heard Oh Boy was Jay's record, and that Cam snatched it from him. Also, Kanye was mostly producing his own shyt in 2002 and not really using Just and other dude's beats yet.

I'm not saying this can't be true, but it conflicts with stories Just has told about the record. I think maybe Dame is just confusing Kanye for Jay, because everything else about the story is right. Just the wrong artist.

He also put that record out on the streets before they cleared the sample, which led to them losing out on publishing money.

Just Blaze was super pissed about it because he had to sacrifice all of his publishing on the song, since the song was played before any sample clearance negotiation could happen.
