His comp is more on the Vinnie Johnson level, but even he wasn't the liability on defense Cam Thomas is
Cam is Bradley Beal without the infectious smile and overpaid contract
Beal actually played defense from 2012-2017. Not saying he was a good defender but I saw him lock up Jimmy Butler in the 2014 playoffs.

what’s wild is doc really ain’t a good coach anymore, but he’s got the rep. If he doesn’t want you, it’s gonna be rough moving forward. He’s gotta look at bones hyland journey. Is he really much better than bones? No. And look how he’s had to change it up and become a team favorite.
No doubt. If Bones was on the Nets the last two years and given a green light, he's definitely putting up 22+ a game. That's what these guys don't understand. There are a lot of guys that can do that. You have to bring something else to the table
On an unrelated note; Bones has been an incredible pickup for the Wolves. Really done a good job there.

I always thought bones was good but he’s just at a position that has way too much competition. You gotta play the game. Cam isn’t a big wing, it ain’t gonna go how he thinks it should,
I guarantee there's a ton of guys who can put up 20 a game if given 30+ MPG, 18+ shots a game and zero defensive responsive abilities/no concern about wins or losses.
I mean he had almost no real suitors in free agency or at the deadline, and an even awful Bucks team that needs signings like him to work out cut ties
At the end of the day he’s a small guard that’s not interested in passing, defending, or hustling, thinks he’s entitled to have a green light and believes he’s a max player. It’s a perfect recipe to find yourself prematurely out of the league
