Cam'ron be having some good freestyles but his music is overrated; especially when he signed with Roc-a-fella

That "gooey, ooey, looey, booey" era of Cam'ron was some of the wackest bullshyt and cats ate that shyt up too.:mjlol:

with that said, this was Cam at his best.

I hate this narrative. Cam was not on that goofy loopy nonsense. Y’all nikkaz going off that corny dipset cartoon that came out a few years back

Exactly. He would say some shyt like “knick knack patty wack, daddy get ya caddy clapped..” but that’s the extent of it. And it’s clever. Lol

Prime Dipset Cam is untouchable. Kept all the multi’s,metaphors, and all that. Just made that shyt SOUND easy
and added humor.

Cam can rap, but I just feel like during that Dipset era he always relied so heavily on being "cool", instead of actually putting together some dope rhymes

Dipset Cam'on has always been overrated to me.

:gucci:

Prime Dipset Cam'ron was exactly on that bullshyt:russ:

I understand that, that era is some cats cup of tea but not mine. That shyt was wack juice to me :yeshrug:

Nah the issue is he did have dope rhymes. It’s just some people either didn’t like that he slowed down his flow or didn’t understand the lingo. But nikkas like Rae and Ghost said a whole bunch of slang nikkas ain’t understand so I really don’t even like that excuse.

Bro, that shyt was always wack to me

And lot of my friends were huge Cam'ron fans back then, so I remember listening to a lot of that shyt and I felt like he watered down his style a lot during that era

I understand the lingo, but it just came off really lazy

And Ghost did spit a lot of gibberish and even admitted in his Drink Champs episode that some of the shyt was that and he didn't even know what the fukk he was saying :mjlol:

Sometimes it's nothing more to it, than just that

Sometimes it's lingo and slang other times it's just bullshyt (with some cats rhymes)

I can post a Cam’ron rhyme from the Dipset era lyrically better than basically anything he did before it. But u throw on the track and he makes it sound EASY. I get that the style isn’t for u. But that nikka was def lyrical. Multi’s, metaphors, wordplay, intangibles, humor, originality, etc etc. ALL that shyt was present in prime Dipset Cam.
