This is what we mean when we say influence and how the cultural forefathers gets whitewashed:
1. Virgil’s line was first called Pyrex.
2. Had to change the name.
3. One of Virgil’s first big clients was ASAP mob
4. ASAP Twelvy told him to change it to off-white (Pyrex…crack…off white)…
5. Twelvy says he got that from stacks bundles
6. We never would have know who Stacks is if not for Jim’s Byrd gang. Everybody talks about how Jim bit Stacks but the Byrd gang movement had all the juice and Jim put him on
The culture vultures would have you stop at #2. The real ‘influencers’ and forefathers get lost

Only thing i can say for sure
Cam was a better rapper when dipset came out than he was after it ended.They all were.
But Jim ended up making generally good tapes without dips. From diary of a sunmer to purple city, etc. ill take jims over cams past 15-20.
All the other stuff is whatever to me. And I think cam is a way better rapper. But jim has a good team and picks good tracks on his own and is better at it solo wise than cam is imo. Havent felt anything but a handful of cam songs since “i used to get it in ohio” / “hate my job”
In 2003/4 it was a no brainer. But today? Jim may be ahead when talking about the past 20 years.

What's going on? Last night I heard like 10 Dipset/Cam songs on Shade 45 
Whoo Kid and Scram Jones both played them. Had me thinking about Dip member passed away
Edit: Scram Jones was playing old songs, then would play a chopped up sample, and then would play the Dipset song. If anyone can find that let me know.

Cam for sure. He put those others guys on even if they were more talented. And sustained a career after them also.
And even with cam,Jim coulda easy been freaky zeke and just been a skit and background guy.
