Yea he was lazy and fell victim to the rapper lifestyle. He didn't have the hustle in him or wanted it bad enough to take his career to the next level. He became a drug attic due to the lifestyle and floundered. He was positioned to be next up too. I still have that bootleg mixtape of I Can't Feel My Face and I'm sure the album would've been damn good.

Juelz should've blown up after this:

This was supposed to be the lead single to Born to Lose, Built to Win, but he never put that album out. Not even a Hov problem either.... they released his previous album on Def Jam as scheduled too.

Pure laziness. He got lapped at Def Jam by Ross & Jeezy and Wayne lapped him in 2008. Then he killed all his chances with Def Jam by keeping CB on Back to the Crib, but even then, he was just lazy.

I literally came here to post the second coming, bro had a song on a nike campaign that both kobe and lebron was on and nikkas in this thread are trying to act like he wasnt on the verge of being a superstar

Hov is pushing it.

No reason Juelz shouldn’t be somewhere between Wayne and Jeezy tho. I’ve said before, dude is the biggest disappointment of early 00s hip hop :snoop:

Juelz would atleast be Wayne level if he kept goin. nikka WAS at one point. They was building together. Juelz literally dropped the ball on all of that buzz.

There’s a reason I Can’t Feel My Face was a big deal back then, and nikkas will still try to track down that original leak. Juelz was right there with Wayne at one point. He didn’t have the material like Wayne did. But in terms of buzz? He was right there. He just dropped the ball.

This is officially the moment in time the Julez wasted potential narrative has been overblown to COMICAL proportions…shyt is Harlem shaking while jumping over that shark in this thread…. We’re basically at “Julez Santana was on the path to becoming the GOAT, but…” at this point :russ:

This shyt reminds me of the running joke in the coliseum where muhfukkas gas the hell outta Penny’s career

He was going to be a megastar I don’t know what you brehs are talking about, he already had hits behind him at the age of 19, he was part of one the biggest and most influential rap groups of the early 00’s.

All the girls lovedd him(which is really the key point) because artists like Drake have literally built their success on the back of a female fanbase, Juelz has the ladies in the palm of his hands, he has everything to be a superstar, he was aligned with Wayne for a reason.
I dont ever remember this dude being a heartthrob :heh:

But if you say so :manny:

Juelz could've been bigger obviously

he was still mad young
last album came out when he was only 21
I was 23 when WTGBM dropped and Elz is older than me :gucci:

I def agree he had next tho. I dunno bout no Hov level but he def coulda been the biggest star in NY from 2006 and on. Banks coulda been too.
He was young and wanted to be young. It's not a Nas situation where Illmatic came out when he was 18.
Where y’all getting these ages from? Nas was 20 when Illmatic dropped :gucci:

My Pops Forever RIP
Juelz wasn't close to being a star...Memphis Bleek level.
Bleek never had Elz's solo career.

The red tape that existed back then for a collabo album like that wouldn't have existed now. They coulda thrown out I Can't Feel My Face with no problem, whereas back then it was a big ass fight over who gets to put it out and who splits what money.

Juelz was never close to being a star...Murphy Lee had a better chance than him..lol
Juelz was always gonna be just another crew rapper. It's pretty rare a crew rapper blows up to be bigger than the rapper that put him on. People romanticizing the past but he could have been better than Murphy Lee. Juelz was not gonna be bigger than Cam.
