He doesn't have a classic album TO YOU

We working on that 3 peat with GFID :win:

He actually doesn't have a classic album to the hip hop community at large. Feel free to post some links to reputable sources in the hip hop community that refer to any Ross album as classic. What you fail/purposefully decide to ignore is that B.I.G's work is universally hailed as classic nearly 20 years after its release. His voice is being sampled, his lyrics quoted and his influence felt 20 years later. Is Ross going to be able to say the same in 2030, cause guess what Biggie will. Can you give me an example of any sort of impact or influence Ross has had so far?

The thread is about a case being made for Ross having a better body of work yet you're just trolling ad posting videos with nothing actually backing up your opinion. Posting Valley of Death and saying van B.I.G do that isn't saying anything. What about it couldn't/didn't Biggie do exactly? Back your opinion up. Posting youtube videos with smilies and telling everyone to just wait and see is just making you look more and more like a troll. The funny thing is Ross stans are always telling you to wait and see and fall back on his "buzz" in the meantime. Dude is the only alleged factor in the game who only has buzz/number of whips playing his music as evidence for him doing big things.

And on top of that, many of the West Coast acts that were failing to hit gold or better were groups that appealed more to an East Coast sound/style- Alkaholiks, Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Del, Casual, Freestyle Fellowship, etc.

Salute this man. He knows the deal.

Gangsta was selling. Hip Hop wasn't. Not that the are mutually exclusive.

How does it feel being dead wrong?

He went plat within a year you fukkin moron:pacspit:

LMAO@ Platinum within a year!!! nikkaz was going platinum ina matter of weeks. You talking about platinum in a year. That's terrible for a nikka that was supposed to be poppin. LMAO!! Da Brat outsold that nikka in '94. Meth's first week sales were higher than that nikka in '94. Warren G straigth shytted on that nikka sales wise in '94.

Go ahead. I hope the opinion of two dudes isn't the only thing you're coming with after I brought up Biggie being universally hailed and having an impact two decades deep.

The East Coast was strugglin' in '93-'94.

:wtf:

I never said anything about 1 year. I said for the 90s, the East did well enough that they were never going to be wiped off the map, or disappear, like people make it seem if BIG hadn't come "saved the day".

People need to stop trying to pinpoint exactly when albums went gold or plat 15+ years ago. Because you have no idea, let's be real here. I already explained the certification process, and there wasn't even a convenient site for you to look this shyt up 15+ years ago. So that's a moot point for both sides.

Do you not understand virtually every artist from the East was going gold/plat/mult- back then?

Fred.

Cool, so it shouldn't be a problem naming 'em, right? RIGHT, fred?

So I'll wait. Go ahead and name these releases that virtually all sold well from NYC.

name one rap artist who went 'multiplatinum', nah, scratch that, went 'platinum'..

:what: what the fukk am I saying?

NAME ONE RAP ALBUM FROM NYC CERTIFIED EVEN "GOLD" BY RIAA IN THE CALENDAR YEAR OF 1994, RELEASED IN THE CALENDAR YEAR OF 1994 BESIDES THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

I'll make looking this up even easier for you, here's a link to their database.
