You're way off base. BIG was way larger, no pun intended than Nas.

In 96 they were equals. The only thing that separated BIG from Nas was record sales and singles. He was in no shape or form viewed as "better" than Nas during 93-96. I lived it Big Fail.

Like I said, I can drop links to BIG's competitions giving their genuine opinions on son when he was alive and none of it consisted of the words "Classic" or "goat"

Nas on the other hand was being worshipped by his enemies and foes

IWW followed the Biggie blueprint. And sold less.

Ready To Die is triple platinum. IWW is double. Plus IWW is a sophomore album. BIGs sophomore is diamond.

Cut it out Nas Stan's.

was ready to die 3 mil in a few months? jw

I'm not a Nas stan but the facts are the facts. Big owes it all to Puff. Mr.cee couldn't have worked the magic Puff did for the nikka.

Lol at you lived it. I lived it. In new york. I don't give a damn about other disgruntled rappers opinions. Big was a bigger draw than Nas period at every single from point from the debut album to his death. BIG was the top banana in new york.

Was he everyone's favorite? Of course not.

:snoop: Big Fail, nikkas have to take everything you say with a grain of salt then.

Nobody said Nas was the bigger draw than BIG?

I said in the hip hop community they were viewed as equals lls. As a matter of fact, many of their peers gave Nas the edge. MANY OF THEIR FOES DID 2. CHECK THE RING LEADER ACCUSATIONS.

lol @ Big being better than Nas when he was alive. nikkas stayed making fun of Christopher

IWW sounds nothing like "Ready To Die", not the singles, not anything. If anything you can say Nas jacked AZ's "Doe Or Die" for his "IWW" blueprint.

"Ready To Die" eventually reached platinum status. "IWW" was Platinum after 2 weeks.

"Life After Death" dropped after Biggie was dead and it's a two disc set whih means it really only sold about 4/5 million copies.

The entire template for the commercialization of Nas in the wake of Illmatic not selling was predicated on following the BIG blueprint.

Enter Trackmasterz

Nas and BIG have different styles. Obviously there will be different nuances applied but the template was laid by BIG.

Big felt threatened, hence his subliminals on Kick N The Door & Victory lls

Nas was just styling on son like its nothing on The Message. Meanwhile Pac was trying to Kill the head so the body would fall.

But your stupid ass saw the cover of the source W/ Big beside the twin towers and thought he was really running the city

There was a two year spread in which time Nas took BIGs blueprint uin order to even sell those albums so the points is lost on me.

I know LAD went plat faster than IWW.

Nas never had to take anything from BIG because BIG didn't create anything. Puff made the blueprint. Your really showing your Hip Hop IQ lol

Puff also took Nas's album cover concept and used for RTD

BIG's Blueprint, WTF :heh:

This nikka just said BIG's Blueprint :wow:

You mean enter Steve Stoute. Again, IWW sounds nothing like "Ready To Die", none of the singles are remotely similiar. So how exactly did he follow the "Biggie Blueprint"? Unless you mean rapping over blatantly stolen songs, okay sure, but thats about it.

Shiny, presentable, lyric driven east coast rap. Palatable, radio ready east coast shyt.

The 3rd Degree
idk, it was written i believe initially sold more than ready to die until biggie died, i may be wrong though.

IDK about that and I'm not gonna bother looking it up...:shaq:

Big's ass didn't either. It wasn't his doing, Puff had the charisma and the marketing genius to do it.

BIG was :dead: when everyone started calling him a legend and his music classic

He definitely had more than Nas. I'll even give you that it was Puff that came up with his image. He still had to pull it off. And he did, masterfully.

In that scenario he would have been dead and he could've been marketed anyway they saw fit.

You can't work with what you don't have.
