none of this is true. you must be thinking of dogs 
i used to leave my cat over the weekend all the time and it was fine. no sitter no messes etc
No! It needs the litter box scooped everyday, or else it will go all over the house. It needs fresh food, and fresh water everyday. Someone needs to come care for the cat, or send it to boarding.

I’ve left my cat alone for 3 days and it was fine, but 7-10 ain’t it fam. Either board it or get a friend/family to watch it.

We snuck the kitten in the hotel with us on the 4th of July. I just put the carrier, which looks like a tote bag on the luggage rack, and we bought a litter box just for the room, and threw it away in a giant trash bag when we left. Just put the do not disturb sign on the door so housekeeping doesn’t find it.
Oh yeah I forgot some cats be scratching shyt up. Might as well just wait. Why get a pet just for its first impression of the new family to be "damn...these nikkas abandoned me already"
