He repeats himself because the show is designed to be explained for a first time viewer. Not his fault, it's just how they do it now.

But they do NOTHING to bring in new viewers and their ratings constantly drop

Cole was a serious news reporter before joining the WWE, everything he knows about commentating sports/entertainment wise is from the WWE/Vince and 'em. Mauro is a professional sports commentator, who has worked on learning his craft on calling various different wrestling & combat sports over the years, thats why he is so superior to the rest of them.

Another thing Cole does all the time which was pointed out to me (And, I now can't not notice), is instead of saying a move, he just says the wrestlers name in a weird way.

Like, John Cena will go for a bulldog or something and instead of "John Cena with a bulldog" he'll say "John Cenaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".

And of course, his weird ass object/subject brand speak stuff.

Regular person : "Bray Wyatt kicks Roman Reigns in the stomach"

Cole : "Bray Wyatt lands a kick right into the stomach....of Roman Reigns"
