Absolutely we just have to financially support black artists who work within that genre. Albums only cost $9.99. You spend 3x that much on a pair of Jordans and Michael don't even really like black folks like that. We should using lame excuses like "They're already rich" as and excuse not to support our artists because no matter how much money they have Phil Knight and Steve Jobs have/had more.

Also we need to start gravitating towards playing instruments again. There is nothing that livens a song more than a warm live bass. We need to start our kids early with classical and jazz lessons. If we do this they won't need to employ other races to bring their ideas to life when they get ready to create and their individual creativity would receive a massive upgrade as a result of their proficiency on their respective instrument and subsequent knowledge of music.

Also it's been proven that musicians have more cognitive function on average. So even if they don't become professional musicians; music lessons could still help close the scholastic achievement gap between black students and whites.

Even if you're an adult you could (should in my opinion) still learn music and how to play and instrument. Perhaps you're and aspiring music producer and you want to learn piano don't be discouraged by the notion that you have to start as a child or else it's hopeless, go for it. Maybe you won't be the next Art Tatum or Oscar Peterson but you'll have a greater understanding of music, You'll be able to navigate a keyboard and get your ideas out more effectively and you'll be introduced to a wide range of music that will expand you palette and make your well versed in different genres of music which is a much needed skill for a music producer.

To sum this all up yes soul along with funk and jazz make a great comeback they just need a supporting fan base and talented individuals willing to create that type of music.
