I agree, if you understand the offensive system then it’s easy to make the right pass/read. Flashy passes don’t necessarily mean a player is great at passing.

There are definitely tiers to great passing, (Magic, lebron, Nash, Kidd..etc) but overall you can still be a decent, average passer and be able to do that with ease. It's just a lot of people don't have that mentality, they want their shots.

Even before he went to Golden State, Durant was a better passer than he used to be.
On a different level, Cavs' coaches said that TT improved a ton at passing out of offensive rebounds compared to where he started.
Basically, if you have capacity for a high bball IQ, you can improve as a passer. Some guys have the capacity, but they've never had the reps, and those are the guys you see keep getting better and better.
Other guys just don't have the capacity for a high bball IQ, so they never improve as a passer no matter how long they stay in the league.

Giannis always was a good passer. Kawhi isn't a good passer to me. Harden passes more.
Giannis had potential but he wasn't anything like this his first two seasons.
Kawhi went from being very limited as a passer to a capable passer when he made the jump in 2016.
No one was ever calling Harden a next-level passer when he was with the Thunder or even in his first couple years with the Rockets. He's grown leaps and bounds in that department.
And you haven't addressed Durant's obvious improvement.
