Shout out to @True Blue Moon for the video

Thinking about heymans comments I really doubt another wcw/WWf type of competition can never happen . It's not enough stars and no one will make wrestling the priority like for Vince. wrestling is the place all his ventures come from , what other person would devote the time he does to his product ?pretty much anyone else would be doing it for fun or as a side venture . And now with the crossover figures and events from the attitude era any other competitor would look bush league :whoo:

Nah, not in the US.

As far as something similar to wrestling or combat sports...there's the UFC and Boxing. WWE has built up a fanbase for like 50 plus years, it's too much of a machine. Nobody's gonna overtake them.

The competition would need a lot of money behind it to be able to afford the necessary resources to efficiently compete against the E, especially in a market in which Cokeboy monopolizes.

I mean in theory it can be done, but what billionaire you know is gonna put his money down to back a 'rasslin company? (be it TNA or whatever)

Yea that's what I'm thinking. And the thing is wwe is Vince's lifeblood , i mean bill gates is rich as hell but would he really be willing to make a wrestling company his life blood.
The wwe is a touring machine look at all the stuff they do different cities countries , continents , in the same week then filming live shows ppv:damn:
You need a Marc Cuban/ Dana white type of figure head and those are rare

It would take more than just money though.

It would also take the right people behind the scenes.

WCW actually had WAY more money than WWE, but what Killed WCW was the people behind the scenes.

They either had no sense for the business, were only looking out for themselves, or were overly concerned with the wrong things.

True, but having that capital behind them bought them to the dance and did allow them to win a lot of battles before they shot themselves in the foot and fukked it up.

Some would argue that the current TNA product is better than the E, but they don't have the means to compete with the machine that Vince and co. runs. ECW was backed by great mind(s) but their lack of money and the way they managed their budget also caused them to die out.

I c/s whatchu said tho, it should be a balanced medium of both, but I do believe that a company without the necessary support in the business side of things will never be able to fully reach it's potential as a player in the market despite the fact that their product may be more intelligent and enjoyable.

WCW shot themselves in the foot the moment they started giving guys guaranteed contracts with "creative control" and "most favored nation" clauses.
