I think that what BLM doesn't get is that the TRUEST inconvenience will come through boycotts....consumer AND political.

Something that doesn't get pointed out enough in regards to this : BLM functioning mostly as an irritant is a result of most of our people being educated that the only form of justifiable civil disobedience during the CRM came through marching/sit-ins/protesting/etc. Whites have made sure to promote MLK as the only civil rights activist that matters. And they cherry pick his quotes and actions to make it seem like he was ONLY about these "peaceful protest". So now you've got all these millennials and gen-x'ers who only know how to be heard through these types of actions. What the fukk do people expect?

Let me share some words my homeboy said about BLM when we talked. I was highly critical of the BLM movement and their tactics as well but after our talk, I agree with him.

I hesitate to criticize any BLM tactics. I agree with their ends. They're fighting on behalf of the oppressed. They should be given latitude to figure out how best to do that. Never heard of the George Soros connection and I doubt the vast majority of ppl who consider themselves members of BLM have either. Either way it doesn't change the purpose of the group which is to put a magnifying glass on the fact that this country is built on the belief that black lives matter less than others. Any response (ALM) to that exclamation other than "you're right, we're sorry, what can we do to fix this?" is based on the same white supremacy that created the problem in the first place, and has nothing to do with BLM's tactics. Remember, the same ppl who extol the virtues of MLK had him put in jail and eventually assassinated.

To that end I've sat in traffic caused by blm shutting down the intersection at Lenox and Peachtree, happily. Inconvenience me for the sake of black ppl? Sure! Lol

It's a democratic, multitextured movement. There are academics on campuses, there are ppl donating money, and there are ppl in the streets. It's messy, but take stock of what they've gotten accomplished. It's significant.

I don't think we should spend any of our upper middle class energy criticizing these people.
We should probably be reading to young black boys in the hood instead.

They're oppressed! Criticism, to the extent it is useful (debatable) should be reserved for the oppressor. But rather than critique anyone, probably more useful to read to impoverished black kids

Yeah blocking ambulances and people from being able to get their dying relatives, jobs, families, kids, etc is really disrupting white supremacy

That sounds like a lie . Your father is dying and the first thing you do is go to twitter. If your father is dying, you would be at the hospital all day and night, even when you are working, companies will give you time to see a love ones before they pass away and bereavement afterwards.
