It used to crack me up. I sat there wondering when he was finally going to heal up, why not just go home and recover fully? WCW Logic
Honestly DDP was one of the few that was actually giving the nWo some problems, while Hogan and crew was dropping bombs on 97% of WCW they had to keep DDP around so there would be some actual competition on Nitro weekly.

Raven's Flock could have been the perfect Anti Nwo too.
