He was a very prominent DJ in Miami. Miami being one of the top vacation/beach/party destinations in the country. Almost every rapper will be in Miami multiple times throughout a year. What artists won't want to have their records played there? Also don't discount strategic relationships he had with guys like Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Wayne (who moved to Miami)
