:whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa: NSA I am not in no part claiming affiliation to any radical extremist group :whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa:

That Said, I've read about how he changed his views later in his life to be on some Pan African Steeze, and he had some super interesting views. IDK much about the "Evil" acts that he committed that the had all over western media, but I haven't met an African who didnt like him, and I have heard people say he was a "necessary evil" along with Sadaam who pretty much kept things in check so groups like ISIS were non factors.

Anyone got any info on him?And is it even possible to purchase his Green Book?
:lupe:
Look him up in the 80s.

Would you not agree him and Sadaam were necessary evils? Im just making the assumption if they did not get taken out we wouldnt have the current situation with ISIS. Im not advocating their actions Im just asking do you agree they kept rebel groups from being anything more than peons.

The world had to remove them to truly understand why it can't in the future.

The only time we've done this was Libya, Iraq, and a few other places where it DID work.

Remember, we're still basically 100 years removed from WW1...we needed to do it to see what would happen...I doubt we'll do it again...maybe.

The argument could be raised that these things were done to prevent another Hitler situation, but I guess that can be countered with should one wait for someone to "take it there" before getting them out the paint. For example i could be wrong but if Sadaam and Gaddafi "took it there" then why havent we gotten NK out the paint? Havent they made actual threats?

There was always a faction of people in Tripoli, who hated Gaddafi; however when the Arab Spring started in Tunsia, it empowered them to take action against Gaddafi. You add the fact that the western countries, particularly France and USA wanted him out. He had no shot to remain in power. So in retaliation he started attacking the protesters. Which had a negative snowball effect.
France and the UK were the primary instigators, we went along with the providing air support bullshyt because our "allies" and the Arab League requested it. i know they are our allies and it would be cold blooded to say fukk the people he's killing and threatening to kill, but Obama should have said no air support for you.

the greatest deterrent to being invaded is having your own nukes.

that's why from day one i never bought the whole saddam has WMDs. even though they can't end the world, they could do some serious damage to an invading force and we ran up in there with no worries. any time someone tells me some bullshyt about how they supported it because bush lied, i say no you were a dumb ass.

i read about his idea of the united states of africa as well, also he wanted the gold dinar, 1st world can't have that so he had to go. internet hearsay so no sources other than wikipedia, but i believe it.

The IMF estimates that the bank has nearly 144 tons of gold in its vaults. In the months leading up to the UN resolution that allowed the US and its allies to send troops into Libya, Muammar al-Gaddafi was openly advocating the creation of a new currency that would rival the United States dollar and the Euro. Gaddafi called upon African and Muslim nations to join an alliance that would make this new currency, the gold dinar, their primary form of money and foreign exchange. They would sell oil and other resources to the US and the rest of the world only for gold dinars. Along with the uprising in Libya, international news channels on August/September 2011 brought several stories about Muammar Gaddafi's introduction of golden dinar[6] within his "gold-for-oil plan" [7] to possibly trade Libya oil on international markets.

Saddam HAD a nuclear program in the 80s. Israel bombed it once, and Saddam bragged about it up until the early 90s.

Gaddafi's Libya was Africa's Most Prosperous Democracy | Foreign Policy Journal

1. In Libya a home is considered a natural human right

In Gaddafi’s Green Book it states: ”The house is a basic need of both the individual and the family, therefore it should not be owned by others”. Gaddafi’s Green Book is the formal leader’s political philosophy, it was first published in 1975 and was intended reading for all Libyans even being included in the national curriculum.
2. Education and medical treatment were all free

Under Gaddafi, Libya could boast one of the best healthcare services in the Middle East and Africa. Also if a Libyan citizen could not access the desired educational course or correct medical treatment in Libya they were funded to go abroad.
3. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project

The largest irrigation system in the world also known as the great manmade river was designed to make water readily available to all Libyan’s across the entire country. It was funded by the Gaddafi government and it said that Gaddafi himself called it ”the eighth wonder of the world”.

4. It was free to start a farming business

If any Libyan wanted to start a farm they were given a house, farm land and live stock and seeds all free of charge.
5. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies

When a Libyan woman gave birth she was given 5000 (US dollars) for herself and the child.
6. Electricity was free

Electricity was free in Libya meaning absolutely no electric bills!
7. Cheap petrol

During Gaddafi’s reign the price of petrol in Libya was as low as 0.14 (US dollars) per litre.
8. Gaddafi raised the level of education

Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. This figure was brought up to 87% with 25% earning university degrees.
9. Libya had It’s own state bank

Libya had its own State bank, which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt.
10. The gold dinar

Before the fall of Tripoli and his untimely demise, Gaddafi was trying to introduce a single African currency linked to gold. Following in the foot steps of the late great pioneer Marcus Garvey who first coined the term ”United States of Africa”. Gaddafi wanted to introduce and only trade in the African gold Dinar – a move which would have thrown the world economy into chaos.
The Dinar was widely opposed by the ‘elite’ of today’s society and who could blame them. African nations would have finally had the power to bring itself out of debt and poverty and only trade in this precious commodity. They would have been able to finally say ‘no’ to external exploitation and charge whatever they felt suitable for precious resources. It has been said that the gold Dinar was the real reason for the NATO led rebellion, in a bid to oust the outspoken leader.
