Writers are restricted in changing a established character's overall demeanor becsuse it would be out of character. Those who do are heavily criticized by the comic comunity. You cant have Batman killing (in prime continuity), peter parker acting all broody, or Pro X adopting militant ideas without destroying the character and the values they stand for.So you think every writer would come up with the same exact reaction for one character? They would all write it the same based on a character's 'common core'?

They are restricted from making BatmAn and Spiderman like the punisher. They are restricted for makin Xavier saying fukk unity. Writers who make even subtle changes to established character's personality that isnt plot-driven would get heavily ostracized and even blackballed. A writer cant just come in and start playing god without the editors persmission or driving the plot.
Yeah, Milestone was created by black men so I could see their characters have more stories that focus within the black comunity and are black-centric.
