When a single woman gets pregnant by a man that she’s not married to or living with, then she’s in complete control of the whole situation. She can either choose to depend on the baby daddy if he’s willing and capable of providing/protecting OR she can choose to depend on white daddy(Uncle Sam) and do the single mother government assistance and/or child support thing. As I said in my first post, it’s not that simple. Women decide when/if they’re going to have kids, they’re ultimately in control over the situation. This is a feminist society which empowers women and especially when it comes to children. You’re simplistic take on this issue would not solve anything. If women are determined to be single mothers as raise children out of wedlock, then that’s what they’re going to do. That’s just what a lot of women in our community are choosing to do.
