Can c00ns be reformed? Or are they a lost cause?

I'm talking about the "I don't see color","it's not about race, it's about class","every race has it's bad apples","we are our own worst enemy" type c00ns.

Or as referred to in the younger generation as #NEWBLACKS

I see these types on tumblr all the time (sadly moreso amongst the women than men)...they worship all of these anemic and dainty white fashion models and part of me thinks that they wish they were white....and they'll deny racism even when it's as blatant as Ferguson with Vonderitt and Mike Brown...to subtle racism. They'll say "it's beyond race" or something f*Cking stupid like that. And they like to blame black people as the cause of every problem we've faced.

Can these types even be reformed? It's like they don't want to see the worst of white people and realize that white supremacy is their enemy and are the main upholders of racism.

Yes they can. All it takes is the proper wake up call. This thread immediately made me remember the Fresh Prince episode where Will and Carlton were pulled over by the racist cop. Carlton found out that being rich didn't make him any less black than anybody else.

I know some folks who are now on that fukk CACs tip after years of trying to fit in with whites and getting burned.

The youth's mind is much more impressionable. Those that are 30+ to 40+ are a lost cause.

What I see from these "New Blacks" is that they go to those that they see have power. Whites and other groups have the power. If we organize amongst ourselves with a common objective in mind of economic and political independence and are wiling to sacrifice for our people, you'll see some of those New Blacks crawling back in that age range. The question is whether we take them back.

if the reason someone became militant is because they failed to be accepted by white society or white women/men then they are still c00ns. they're just upset c00ns acting emotionally and "settling" (according to their true beliefs) for their own culture and opposite sex

would any of you be willing to date a black person who:
felt lucky to have a white partner
the white partner said racist things
black partner co-signed white partner because he/she felt they were an exception to the racism
black partner became a victim of racism of the white partner
realized they were not an exception in yt's eyes so started acting militant

doesn't sound militant to me. sounds fake. a lot of the so-called militants on this site post about their continuing addiction to white partners. this is because their ideas on race didn't change much. they just realized they weren't special and don't know how to deal with it

Speaking for myself I have always been problack and I have always stood for what I believed I have never sidestepped no matter who my friends were. I grew with having friends of other races than black ones and trust me people don't respect those that kiss arse.

Yes. I've never been a c00n just because I was raised in the NOI. The Nation is very pro-black and I was always told the white man was the devil. I've always been racially aware, but I unknowingly found myself going down the path of the #NewBlack a couple years back.

I was indifferent to the Trayvon Martin situation because I thought it would be hypocritical to call Zimmerman out with all the black on black crime going on. I also thought being color-blind was a good thing.

I still considered myself pro-black at the time, I just didn't realize that "What about black on black crime" was a deflection used by white supremacists, or that being colorblind allows racism to continue unchecked.

Alot of these so-called "c00ns" and "new blacks" are just ignorant.

These types deny racism because the reality of racism destroys their idealized version of America. Some are self hating, but alot of them simply do not fully understand racial dynamics. Their parents did them a disservice.

its very possible they can come to their senses but its better if they do so while they are away from us. You can't make the type of progress black people need in business and social power while trying to reform c00ns. They will sabotage and destroy your progressive efforts without blinking an eye.
