10 years to a hard electric push around the globe. it's gonna be anyones game in the new arena

All these companies now trying to jump on the electric wave done gave Tesla a huge lead in the mindshare of people too when it comes to premium EVs. This is something American Automakers should have done YEARS ago. That would have been a great move if they did that imo. Have premium EV Caddy and Lincolns

They didn't want to and forced the bullshyt hybrid cars on the market. They really let Tesla take the lead.

Lack of forward decision making and being comfortable with the now instead of down the line has been the cause of so many companies fall.

I see all these companies NOW tryin to jump on the wave and dikk ride but they gave Tesla over a ten year headstart not only in mindset but patents, experience, technology, etc. Straight :snoop:

It's not only on the car companies they had plenty of ev designs way before Tesla but the oil companies bribed the govt and sabotaged all the car companies forcing them to stick to ice cars over ev. Because they had a great financial incentive for them to keep using gas... Even though it was damaging the environment long term the oil companies didn't care...:francis: profit over everything

Of course...:ld: these old white men in chrge of these oil companies had detailed outlooks on the effects of ice engines and other machines effects and their contribution to climate change years prior and they didn't care about making alternative power sources or clean fuel... We both agree. EV engines should have been adopted in the 50's, 60' and 70's as car companies planned... Now it's too late. :francis:

I can only speak for Cadillac

Cadillac can if they can stop changing the names of the cars every 2-3 and stick to then long term so they can have brand recognition. They paid attention to the navigator when it was overhauled and responded with the new escalade with the a better interior. that needs to be done brand wide.

I think while the ct4 and ct5 ride on the alpha platform is great but maybe they could bring back a dedicated comfortable sedan rather than trying the best of both worlds and chasing after bmw n mercedes

This is the formula.

These nondescript factory names aren't turning heads. People want the names of their cars to be tried and true long standing lines of cars that they can always depend on to be a certain way. Ford and Chevy been eating just off the strength of the name and form factor.
