I think the pr0bIem is serious advertising :francis: everyone and they mama heard 0f a heIIcat no one mainstream is checking f0r a blackwing
Cadillac is pure luxury, no matter how the Blackwing engine performs it's not going to have the same draw, or affordability, to younger buyers of a $75K muscle car.

This post summarizes that the premise of the OP is wrong, as a Lincoln Navigator still has cache despite not being popular, but is also silly. Have you actually seen a Kia Telluride?

Cadillac needs to focus solely on the Escalade and bring back recognizable nameplates. The CTS had quite the following here for the first few generations. I dunno about bringing back older nameplates, solely because they remind people of giant heavy boats of cars. But there should be hot versions of both platforms, and the V badge actually does get recognized in the racing world. Cadillac does have an actual performance background, built over the last two decades especially. If they could get the power, tech, and design nailed down completely, plus the actual driving experience, they could actually do something. I thought moving their design center to SoHo was going to be a step in the right direction but so far it's still looking iffy to me. They gave up on the Blackwing damn near unfortunately, due to regulations.

Lincoln kinda falls in the same boat for me. I had made the case to them a few times that they should have rebadged and turned the Mustang platform into a Continental coupe, with the LSC being based on the GT350- and built a full-on luxury sedan that is truly a Continental. They put suicide doors on the limited run of the last model year, but the car wasn't never really it. Buick is dead over here but dropping hot fire all day in China.

Both of these brands seem to not try, partially because it's easier to make an SUV and sell it, and I think moreso because their parent companies are not heavily invested in either Marque at this point. They just kind of exist in a portfolio of offerings to say but we do have something nice here... pretty sad tbh.

The problem is that the whole brand ideology is outdated as fukk nobody cruises and drives around for fun anymore :mjlol:

Nobody wants to be seen in the same car as the grandpa going for the early bird special at the silver diner.

The future of the automotive industry is safety not comfort. Without racing, fleet programs, and government bailouts Honda and Toyota would be the only cars on the market.

None of these companies even make sedans and instead rebranded the station wagon into shytty crossovers because they cant compete anymore.

The landscape of the automotive industry is dying and these outdated lames can’t keep up. Musk kicked down the doors.

Simpleminded fools keep ladling on the past meanwhile the most awarded car of the decade is the Honda Fit

All the advertising in the world won’t save them. Lincoln’s best hope is undercutting the euro brands and trying to get a decent market share for their Fleet program. But they will probably discontinue them in about a couple years. Ford discontinued ever car they had except for the mustang so these don’t stand a chance. Only reason Cadillac is surving is due to government contracts

They are going to die as we are transitioning to electric vehicles.

You don’t see the European or Asian luxury brands killing off all their sedans, so I doubt it
