I was about 8 or 9 and I was in the kitchen with my family. 3 family members were present (my mom, brother, and sister).

I was sick with the flu or something so it's not like my eyes were fukked up. I walked away from the kitchen table they was sitting at to get into the cabinet to get something like a spice or whatever. I turn around and I look at the table like They were life-sized ants sitting on the dinner table

I closed my eyes and looked at them again a second later, they returned to their normal forms

Described my great grandfather even though I'd never met him. Told my aunt I was playing with my cousin who had passed of SIDS.
I think it was just me making something up.
Kids will say anything for attention and I have no recollection of seeing anything supernatural as a child.
It's possible your kid was telling the truth. Honestly, if my kid could really see some shyt I couldn't, I'd rather them not tell me.
