Its mainstream as a trading asset…..but not adopted mainstream for its intended purpose (currency)

…and the same answer as has been the case for me and many others for at least 5 years now is join a reputable exchange (such as coinbase) and link a bank account to it (doesn’t have to be the main one that you use)…sell your assets/crypto then withdraw the cash into your bank account
and that makes crypto, in its essence, obsolete, unless it's seen as a form of investment and not defi
