Who's on top now and what cities are they from? Who's running rap? (legitimate questions because I really have no idea) And who are the artists that have been running the game since the 90's? And are we talking sales? Streets? The internet? Radio play? Clubs?

Future doesn't remind me of a traditional southern artist and neither does drake :manny:. In fact, I think Drake sounds like an east coast artist similar to Game and Kendrick sounding like East coast artists.

Yea I'm from the south and hiphop had a youngin wishing he was from NY growing up

I was always into east coast rap coming up despite living in the south
I use to ask my mom everyday if I could move to New York with my cousin she always said no lol

It's funny because I've always loved music from different regions. Always knew people who loved music from different regions. I grew up in the 90's so Bone thugs got mad love up here. I always find it funny when people say NY never had any love for any other region, because it was always the opposite for people I knew. I just think the internet changed everything. I don't think a regional sound exists today.
