when new york, jersey and philly had hip hop on smash in the 90's, hip hop was at it's peak! i miss those days
things have never been the same and nowhere near as nice as when the north had hip hop on lock in the 90's

Future doesn't remind me of a traditional southern artist and neither does drake . In fact, I think Drake sounds like an east coast artist similar to Game and Kendrick sounding like East coast artists.

It's funny because I've always loved music from different regions. Always knew people who loved music from different regions. I grew up in the 90's so Bone thugs got mad love up here. I always find it funny when people say NY never had any love for any other region, because it was always the opposite for people I knew. I just think the internet changed everything. I don't think a regional sound exists today.
