INVADING SOHH CHAMPION
man, got an update. so my old job told me to apply a few months ago for this senior position that I wanted. I did the phone interview and killed it. then a week later, they are talking bout "thanks for applying, but take your application and hit the :bushess:"
anyways, about a month ago, I find out the senior position is still available cuz ol girl I know who had it left and went to work at another hospital. so the job is back on the market. then to boot, the manager, emailed me to see if I was interested. so I went ahead and applied again (for the second time), and they hit me back to do a phone interview (again) which happens tomorrow.
like I said, I am ONLY taking this job (given they give me an actual interview and an offer) if it comes with about a 10K increase from what I'm currently making working at the home (still won't be at six figures like ya'll coli nikkas, but I will be). I'm not giving up a lack of commute, and all the convenience of being able to come and go as I please unless they really make it worth my while. I do know for a fact that the vacation time is better if I do change positions. and since I last worked there, they moved offices, so the commute ain't nearly as bad as what it was when I last worked there. also, if I can get them to give me 1-2 days working at home, I will try that as well.
also, the reason I can be as fukking arrogant about my demands is cuz I'm working from a position of power (I have a job working from home, so I don't NEED this job). and also, its a job that has to do with a specific type of software that hospitals use to track patient utilization, quality metrics and patient safety metrics, and it's hard for them to find people who know the software really well which I do since I currently work for the company that manufactures it. also, I'm familiar with their hospital, the culture and how it works. so yeah, I totally think I'm worth that extra 10K.
@beaniemac
I moved to the Carolinas.
also, given what you say.
you are actually worth more than the increase they are proposing in the front end.
