Bow ties to a job interview is an ABSOLUTE NO. You're supposed to dress business formal and bowties do not fall in the business formal category. AT ALL. If you're trying to shed a ghetto persona by wearing a bowtie, you run a major risk of actually doing the opposite and giving the interviewer the perception that you don't know how to dress for business. Things like bowties, pocket squares and cufflinks are unnecessary for job interviews and considered overdressing.
