Lets be real for one sec....would all of that matter in the eyes of the media and most fans if he never won a title? No doubt he would've had a legendary career but he wouldn't be perceived as legendary in today's media environment...

the same could apply to winning multiple ships.

Yes...it will because fans are bytch asses.

Look at Ali who they hated while he fought.

NOW they're all on his dikk.

All these Hall of Famers worked together to win championships.

Kobe,Shaq
Jordan,Pip,Rodman
Bird,McHale,Parrish,Johnson
Magic,Kareem,Worthy

But Lebron is penalized for forming "Megatron" and finally winning a championship eventhough he was the Finals MVP? :ld:

it's only ok because they applied Vaseline first

A little town called none ya got damn bidness
Yeah, some teams just have better front offices, had KG not left Minnie he would be ringless today and the outlook on him would be different. The Cavs tried to get LeBron some help, but they just couldn't land any big time players.

True, its like a curse when a young rebuilding teams gets good too fast. Cleveland didnt have the luxury to build the right team through the draft. That hurt cause the Cavs had to constantly keep tinkering with the roster every season thru free agency and trades instead of having homegrown players. OKC is the perfect example of how a young team rebuilds but it dont always happen that way. :manny:

Wilt is rated higher than Shaq, Kobe, Duncan and Hakeem, he only has 2 rings. Barkley and Malone are probably ranked higher than KG and Dirk in the media's eyes, and both are called legends despite not having won titles.

Your argument is flawed because situations already exist where players who aren't as good as Bron are "legends" without titles.

And if rings hold that much weight when ranking individual players resumes does that mean that Bill Russell is the GOAT? I just cant buy the rings as being the be all end all when ranking individual players

It's like dunking, once you're on that level, then there's different criteria. An incredible player is not necessarily an incredible dunker. We're talking about GOAT wing player Jordan did 6 titles (in 10 years :wow:) in the 90s east, Kobe did 5 titles (in 11 years :whoo:) in the 00s west. Just look at all the ballers on the Olympic team, but Kobe carried 'em to the win. There's something to be said for WINNING and DOMINANCE, just as much as great individual play. What separates Kobe Bryant from Vince Carter? Jordan from Drexler? Their ability to win at the highest level, and to dominate.

Big O is a legend, and got one ring as the sidekick.

Bron is statistically already an NBA legend. The ring pretty much sealed the deal.

Top 20 player ever.
