Learning Chess was fun...but when you Dominoes tho...

I was 15 yrs old bullying my elders...and I made my PawPaw retire. Like I literally made him quit and forcefully pass me the torch.

I got to the point I was so good at Bones that I only called points for 10 or more...and if you was a woman 15 or more.

I treat dominoes like war and battle strategy tho. Reading ya hand and planning my next 5 steps.

nope, some lines yes, but theres variations of things, things that correlate, things that don't and you have to cut out the extra noise and a lot of computing. Like If I do this, he has this and this and this option, first option this, and then I have this and this and this option and the likely outcome from that is this. And then you repeat for the other Options you have.

Everyone can learn how to play, Its just the level you can get to will vary.

yeah you stalemated him, cut off all his squares so he didn't have a legal move. When guys are down a lot thats what they go for. So you gotta give room to breath and then figure out how to mate him. Easiest way was to ladder mate him, instead of moving your queen to the square C5. YOu should have gone to E4, next rook to d5, next queen to e6, rook to d7, queen to e8. And this works regardless of what he does

Chess isn’t a level playing field.

People who barely know what chess is compare themselves to hobbyists who have been playing chess on and off for a few years.

Hobbyists compare themselves to enthusiasts who literally play chess all day.

And those enthusiasts compare themselves to chess prodigies who were playing chess all day since they could pick up the pieces.

Chess is a highly overrated and pompous sport. Lot of gatekeeping and racism at the higher levels.

A chess board will display how you handle pressure, stress, & adversity. It will tell you if a person lacks foresight, patience, confidence or aggression. It will also expose those who will copy without context & those who fake it till they make it.


It's a beautiful game that I recommend everyone take the time to really learn. There are few principles & the strategies you have to master (openings/controlling the center squares, material development, middle & end game) but really, you get out of the game what you put into it.
