I don't know anyone who takes the Grammys seriously. The same year 2Pac, Wu-Tang and Bone Thugs came out with their classics they were handing awards to Puffy, Coolio, and Will Smith. They seem to choose rap acts who appeal to white people or have a 'global' appeal (i.e.: Kanye, Eminem, Jay-Z).

Nah it'll either go to Drake or Rick Ross. Unless Nas endorses Molly or let's Puffy fukk him in the ass he won't win anything.
Pac lost to Gangsas Paradise and The Fugees albums, both 5 mics.
Even though Dear Mama and All Eyez on me was better.
Now Wu-tang Forever losing against No Way Out, as a Wu-tang stan I was offended but Puff daddy and The Family was a classic as well.
But I think it's been pretty well established that the Grammys didn't wanna help gangster rap in the first half 90s just like rap only was shown on certain special programs on MTV etc. That's why Queen Latifas UNITY beat Snoop and Warren G.
The only song imo they ever got right was Let Me Ride by Dr. Dre
People criticizing the Grammys only proves how ahead of all other awards it is, cause the other shows follow the same pattern or like BET a worse pattern. But no one criticizes the other award shows.

This is Nas's year. He absolutely was the dominant rap artist this year. The only other rapper touching him (Kendrick Lamar) didn't release GKMC in time for nomination. He's one of the last relevant rap legends to not have been honored by the academy. It's his time, it's deserved, and its long overdue. He's going to win.
