LOL at weather. No positives for a team there at all anymore as long as the organization can keep up that attendance they will be find but tell moment it doesnt pack them bags.
If low attendance alone could cause that a lot of teams would have relocated by now.

Unless Clay Bennett sells to a snake the way he got the team, the OKC Thunder aren't going anywhere

Went to OKC uncharted area known for Buffalo riding and Tornadoes...

hurricane Katrina made the Hornets move to OKC for a partial season. The fan response showed the NBA they had a possible market there. So from there the process started. OKC isn't some garbage area like the media jokes make you think. It's basically Dallas-lite. And Norman (OU) is 20 miles away.

Lotta oil and energy money there and real estate is prime.

You can't clown on OKC and not clown on Sacramento or Milwaukee.

I remember all those empty seats in the Rashard Lewis/Ray Allen/Luke Ridnour years :russell:

but let old Sonic fans tell the story and Key Arena was suddenly always sold out retroactively :childplease:

The Hawks, Grizzlies, Pacers, 76ers, Timberwolves, and countless other teams have had as bad or worse attendance throughout the years. Should those teams also be taken from their respected cities? Like it or not every city has bandwagon fans. When teams are doing great the #'s look great. When they aren't well you know the result.

The Key Arena is in a god awful location for fans. It's built in a residential neighborhood with next zero parking for fans and no real transportation to get you to the stadium. Very few restaurants are around the stadium. As someone like myself it wasn't easy to get to games.

If you think that Seattle can't support it's fans look at the Seahawks and Sounders for proof. Hell even the Huskies have one of the best and loudest atmospheres for football games.
