Please point out where I'm being intellectually dishonest? Up until know I hadn't made any claims, buti disagree with your assertion.
Here goes my stance. 1) the story of creation is false and incorrect. The order is Big Bang, sun, then the earth.
2. The various science field do not support the world wide flood
3) It is mathematically impossible for humanity to bein from 2 people 4 thousand years ago.
This is just a start.
Small/big problem here.

A lot of believers believe for their own reasons/miracles/upbringing/personal faith

Which is cool and that’s all that’s necessary

Unfortunately it puts them at a disadvantage when trying to “debate” with even decently studied theists, because they can make the faith to the “others” sound ridiculous

I’m heavy into science and work in tech etc, so I’ve been actually studying theology, Hebrew etc etc (just don’t feel like typing it all)

I was intrigued because years ago, I read that some of the most prominent atheist scientists/historians researched the Bible and converted…and know in these people I’m like “what did they see :whoo:

Man…maybe I should start a second thread (lmk if talk want) but the learnings are incredible.

I will never ever doubt again in any way ever

Oh and to your point 1. There’s scripture that points to a non seven day creation, we just read it slightly wrong

2. The oldest text ever written (Sumerian) which isn’t Biblical points to worldwide flooding

3. Doctrine actually supports thousands and possibly millions of years. Again the Hebrew text is sometimes read wrong

But remember that missing a word here and there is not changing doctrine. And the words aren’t removed, it’s just that words change meaning over time and can confuse some people.

I can show you if you want actually how there may have been a gap between heavens and earth and the first day and it’s right there in the text

To your first point. Yes, you should start another thread on that topic and tag me. I would love to straighten out the misquotes.
How did you not gather that I'm an Atheist? The inability for Theists to do well while debating Atheists is due to faith vs evidence.
The biblical account of creation, both versions, conflicts with the scientific model, which is supported by evidence. Our universe being 13.7 billion years old, with the sun being slightly younger. The earth being only 4 billion years old. The Earth being the result of a secretion disc from the sun.
For a light read on the cosmology of this , grab Dr Tyson's book " Astrophysics for people in a hurry ". It's even on YouTube. Stephen Hawkins also has a book on YouTube as well.

Hi Kent Hovind!
1 first being an atheist has to do with not accepting the god claim. Nothing else. At least use Google for more than porn.
2 if you don't understand evolution, I have some sources to help with that. You have embarrassed anyone who read that.

Not even wasting time with your foolishness because both arguments are intertwined :mjlol: you seriously need to work on your arguments and knowledge on the subjects. Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris still consider you a lesser class nikka. Stop sucking them off bozo.

You refuse to engage the argument, because you don't understand how to do so. How many times have you responded to me an yet, you won't provide evidence of your position.
No my friend, these positions are only intertwined with a Theist who doesn't understand the arguments. How many times will I have to provide the definition of both before you get it?
What you are really asking is this: if you don't believe in my god, your attacking the first chapter of Genesis! No I'm questioning why you would think that a god could write it.

Southern slave owners held up Christianity to justify their brutality and yet those slaves and their descendants believe in Christianity.

You can rationalize anything, no matter how stupid.
Christianity was practiced before a single white man was on Earth so stfu with that bs

Define gay and define heterosexual? Dude in OP's video still has CLEARLY gay mannerisms and doesn't speak like a "bibically masculine" man. BUT, if he isn't actively living a gay lifestyle, then I guess he has been changed. BUT, if your sexual orientation is defined by ACTS of sin, then technically you CANT be a professing christian while having gay sex. I mean, people may back slide, and sin happens. But there's a difference between a sinful mistake, vs living a actively sexually gay lifestyle while professing to be christian. Those two things conflict. BUT, you can still have sinful struggles and desires and be a professing Christian if you resist those temptations. Is someone not gay anymore if they're not actively having sex with men, or are they still gay if the desire is there, but they're refusing to sin? If NOT having sex with men, means they're cured of their gayness and means they're now "straight", then does that mean someone who professes to be heterosexual but doesnt engage in ACTIVE premarital sex with women, is no longer "heterosexual" because he isn't ACTIVELY having sex with women? That's the conondrum.
