Can someone explain how liberal/more open immigration policy helps black folks?

Because that's my point...

Everybody does that shyt to us, especially Mexicans and arabs so why should we act any differently when it comes to them?

Why should I give a fukk about their problems when they could give a fukk less about mine because to them I'm just a ******?

"Everybody" doesn't do that to us. SOME people do, and a lot of those people are black themselves.

So I chose not to live my life by the hate and ignorance those people exude. Otherwise I'd be no better than them.

The majority of "their" problems are intertwined with our own.

it doesnt, immigration from africa and the caribbean does help increase the number of black people and a certain amount of immigration is healthy for the overall economy

but the mass influx of people into the us does not help black people

black people dodged a huge bullet by hillary losing, the democrats plan to legalize 11 million illegal immigrants and increase legal immigration and promote bilingualism in the us would have had a negative impact on the black community

5 pages and its mostly bickering and arguing at the OP

it's been culturally embedded in us to vote democrat with no campaigning needed for decades

so to ask where our relationship stands with them in 2017 seeing how we're now sharing our seat at the democratic table with the LGBT, Hispanic and out of nowhere apparently Syrian Refugees - is 100% logical.

all this hate, anger, venom, and arguing at the OP is really just frustration at not really knowing, or knowing and not wanting to deal with the reality of our current situation...

man up and have a real discussion and stop trying to fight and argue all the time....thought this was higher learning. :hhh:

All this economic shyt is whatever, shyt is smoke and mirrors anyway. A large amount of jobs will soon be automated so they're going to have to find another excuse.

I'm fine for enforcing immigration laws as they are, but if white supremacists feel threatened by more "diversity" then I support it. I'm not going to even half way latch on to that philosophy for some "jobs" that won't even fukking exist in 5-10 years. Black folk have survived chattel slavery...we'll survive the economy and the so called immigration crisis too.

In the meantime we could completely ignore the inconsequential and start educating ourselves, being more mental health conscious and you know, start addressing shyt that matters for real on the daily.

immigrants are not anti white supremacy, quite the opposite most immigrants fully support white supremacy

latin america has a longer history of white supremacy and oppressing black people than the united states and asians and people of the middle east have their own forms of supremacy that compliment white supremacy

if black people want to take on white supremacy then we should take on white supremacy, period, the notion of using immigrants to fight white supremacy is ignorant and cowardly

Is blackness solely determined by country of birth?

Immigration helps Black people by way of adding to the overall economy, primarily the STEM fields and technological innovation. This has a residual positive impact on Black people because blacks just like other people benefit from technology making our lives more manageable and the ability to complete tasks more efficient. A decrease in immigration would have a negative impact on silicon valley.

i have no idea what you are asking, i dont know where you are coming from or where you are trying to go

all i said is an obvious fact that immigration from africa and the caribbean causes the black population in america to grow, are you disputing that or do you have a problem with me saying that?

No, just trying to clarify the op. Example, do you think immigration from Africa/Caribbean helps black folks? Are those black folks included in the determination or we just talking about black people already here?

that really isnt a case for immigration

that just points to the fact that immigration to america is family based when it should be skilled base

imo yeah, increasing the overall number of black people helps black people overall

but the problem is that africans and caribbeans only make up a small percentage of the overall immigrant population, so in and of itself, that small benefit is not enough for black people to support more immigration, imo

my overall position, regardless of race, is that a little immigration is good, a lot of immigration is bad
