JOHNNIE FOOTBALL MANZIEL VS CHARLIE WARD

both are short and won the heisman.
both have been given doubts about being starting qb's.
who could succeed and flourish as actual proven starters.

so, i am wondering, what was the skill difference between manziel and ward as football qb's?

now, granted...
ward was said to not be good enough to be a nfl qb.
so, he played basketball, instead.
as a two sport athlete,...and did okay for a two sport lesser skilled nba guard

yet, i wonder what the difference in skill of manziel was to ward.
or, is this just a racial tissue issue as to why manziel was given more props as a qb.
than, ward was as a qb.
what are the differences in their ability as qb's on the college and possible pro level.

Charlie didn't want to play football no mo after #94 of the Hurricanes hit him in a game.

that is not entirely true.
the nfl scouts said, he was to short and not amply skilled for playing on the nfl level.
plus, was to disgustingly short to see over any general offensiveline, on the nfl level.
on top, of numerous scouting reports and situations he was not built.
nor, aptly intelligent to play in the nfl.
where it was in good word speak to shield the undercurrent of narcissistic racism on a wild public level.
i distinctly remembering that situation.

i am asking now,...
what is the skill level difference between charlie ward and johnny manziel, on a simply player built comparison level.
as i want tto see what on paper does manziel have that ward did not.

i am citing, a situation where ward being negatively scouted on numerous planes.
was just blatant gross racism.
or, was ward at best a rex grossman type.
plus, and what separates manziel from being a ward.
the same ward, who could at best have been a grossman type.
away from manziel, in a comparative.
so, if it was not just racism.
or, just a spot on scouting report.
plus, a far greater distance in skill that manziel has.
in a frenzy, and a bevy of talent difference than ward.....

Dudes like Doug Flutie,Drew Brees,Vick and Russell Wilson kind of deaded that " you need to be tall to play QB at a high level" line of thinking.

Charlie Ward comes along in post 2001.... completely different story

this is what i am looking for.
so, we can more than likely say.
ward, prospectively would have more than likely been as good.
as a later round draft pick as at least, manziel.

Different time. Mobile qbs were less excepted at that time. Also Drew Brees has done a lot for shorter qbs imo. Lastly the jury is still out Johnny tbh and while I wish him luck and hope he does well there is a very real chance that he has a very disappointment nfl career.

Nah, we can't say that... But if Charlie Ward mans the helm at FSU anywhere from 1997- present... his height wouldn't have been a real issue.

Johnny has a stronger arm, more downfield speed, better juke moves.

Charlie's vision and pocket presence was much though.

Charlie was more like Russell WIlson.

Manizel is a more talented passer, Ward was a far more gifted athlete and far more smart than Manizel. Ward would be better in today's NFL than those days but he was one of the best Black QB's we had.

Ward had more pocket awareness as well.

i take issue with ward being called a lesser skilled nba guard. dude was nice and a solid pg on a lot of good knick teams

his shooting wasnt good but he was a solid player
People seen him as a superstar in Football and just a decent player in Basketball but let's be real, the NFL wasn't giving chances like that with brothas and even now, they are  with brothas at QB.
