the shock at the time of its release is what really made it pop

the undertone between big and pac bubbled for quite a while prior to this

the fact it had a video really pushed it over the top

and the timing 2pac just started the rumor he fukked faith then BOOM video drops and has the lyrics he fukked his wife

now this is back in the 90's i remember myself and others were like OHHHH shyt HE MADE A VIDEO!?!?!?! and he parodied everyone

and it was BLATANT before this even videos were kinda subliminal with the exception of 3rd base pop goes the weasel but vanilla ice wasnt exactly a respectable/credible MC lol

it was simply the perfect time more than anything as the track by itself is really nothing to brag about lyrically if anything the ad libs are far more potent then the bars llol

but pac capitaslized maybe even planned/set this up perfectly


because the song is overall kinda mehh

hell drop a gem on'em is INSANELY better than this and was overlooked massively in comparrison(still is)
