Maybe its a formality that they have to ground the plane on their computer system, your not expecting a computer system to state that a plane is still in the air almost 3 years later?

What makes you think this is the same flight.
The dates are different.
Flightaware would have fixed the error with a message on the page stating it's not the same plane.

A Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 would have left every day. This is a 370 flight that arrived late on the 13th. The mystery 370 went missing on the 8th.
What's the connection between the two?

I guess you seem to know the answer to your own question but didn't answer mine.
Somebody accidentally shot that shyt down probably China, America, Russia, or some other country.
